The walk will take us through Rushcliffe Country Park including a look into the visitor centre which explains & illustrates the history of the two World Wars time ordnance site. We will walk a loop via Bradmore Village. Chance to visit the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre at Ruddington.

About the event
What we will do: Start walk: at 10.45am, 6 miles approx. The walk will take us through Rushcliffe Country Park including a look into the visitor centre which explains & illustrates the history of the two World Wars time ordnance site. We will walk a loop via Bradmore Village. ‘Coffee and Cake by the Lake’ is the new takeaway café in Rushcliffe Country Park which serves cold & hot food (including paninis & bake potatoes) as well as drinks.
The Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre at Ruddington - the northern base of the Great Central Railway will have, at the time of this event ‘The Tornado’ joins ‘The Flying Scotsman’ in residence - and might be worth viewing at the end of the walk. There might be a charge of around £10 for this.
