We will walk beside the picturesque river Greet which looks quite different from when we first walked there a few years ago. Also we can walk through the orchard in the Easthorpe area. Picnic lunch outside (benches in the grounds of the minster) or possible lunch at the Minster café.

What we will do: Arrive 10.15am for a 10.30am start at Memorial Drive, off Westgate, NG25 0GD. Grid Ref. SK700538. Length 6 to 6.5 miles. We can walk beside the picturesque river Greet which looks quite different from when we first walked there a few years ago. Also we can walk through the orchard in the Easthorpe area. An Egret was spotted near the water recently. Picnic lunch outside (benches in the grounds of the minster) or possible lunch at the Minster café.

Directions by car: A612 into Southwell/ right onto Westgate/ first right down Bishops Drive which then bends to the right and then left. Carry on straight down the lane, southwards. The Bishops Drive car park (no charge). Postcode NG25 OJP. Grid Ref. SK700538. is on your left near the end of the lane.
