Car/Bus Ramble: Thurgarton to Hollybeck and back

Going along the bridleway from Thurgarton to Hollybeck Garden Centre & back (6 miles). A high level concrete path with good views of the countryside & a chance to see wild birds on route. Coffee stop and browse around at the Hollybeck Garden Centre. Return for lunch at the Red Lion Pub.

About the event
What we will do: Start time: 10.15am for 10.30am. Walk length 6 miles. Going along the bridleway from Thurgarton to Hollybeck Garden Centre & back (6 miles). A high level concrete path with good views of the countryside & a chance to see wild birds on route. Coffee stop and browse around at the Hollybeck Garden Centre. Return for lunch at the Red Lion Pub when we get back.

Directions by bus: Catch the NCT bus 26 (they are scheduled to leave every 30 mins) to Southwell from the bus stop K1, King Street - up the hill on the right from the Brian Clough Statue, Nottingham at 9.10 am, and get off at the bus stop in Thurgaton, ‘Corner Croft’ by the Red Lion…
